Our holiday villa and the park are in Château d'Olonne, a community in the Département Vendée in the Pays de la Loire-Region. It is administered from the town of Les Sables d'Olonne.

Cultural sights
You can visit the 12th century Abbey of Saint-Jean Orbestier. This Benedictine monastery was destroyed and rebuilt many times, and it was last restored in 1992. Today it is regarded as a venue for cultural events.
The church of Saint-Hilaire is also well worth a visit: it was built on the ruins of an ancient castle.
In the former Abbey of Sainte Croix there is a Museum for modern and contemporary art.
Fun & Learning
You can admire over 45,000 different types of sea shell in the Shell Museum. Discover an amazing variety of shaped and colours, and there is also a children’s parkour area (4-6 years), while children who are a little bit older (7-11 years) can take part in a shell quiz and test their knowledge.
Or you could go back in time to the beginning of the 20th century in the little railway museum. Turn back the clock and marvel at the tools, instruments and clothing in agricultural areas in this period.
There is also the so-called “Street of Hell” which is the narrowest street in the world.
The conference centre "Les Atlantes" houses the tourist information office, a casino, a theatre and some conference rooms. A great many other events take place there, and you can find out about them in the tourist information centre within the same building.
Plan your leisure activities
It doesn’t matter whether you prefer action holidays or a more relaxing vacation – our holiday location has something for everyone.
Families will enjoy the in- and outdoor park at Funshine. There are plenty of exciting activities to gladden the hearts of your children, while you can relax with a quiet conversation and some coffee together.
Those who like to be active will be more than happy with the Atlantic Kart System. The approx. 1 km long kart track is for children 7 years old and above, and it gives them a very exciting experience.
Water sports
Water sports are naturally a very big thing for us. You can try everything here – windsurfing, canoeing, surfing, jet skiing, wake surfing and kayak touring. You can find more information about this on our summer page.
Zoo des Sables
You really must visit the Zoo at Sables with your family: it is located right on the coast. A wide variety of animals and wonderful flora and fauna await you. Not to be missed is the 700 sq. metres parrot area, which visitors can enter, so that you can experience the birds up close.
Visit the animals at feeding time. You can see penguins, wolves, otters, lions and many more.
