In the summer

Enjoy your summer holiday in our holiday home in France. You have your very own summer pool inviting you to cool down, and then you can spend your day at one of the many beaches that are not far from our accommodation.

You can find links to more summer attractions on our partner site soon.

Beach holiday on the Atlantic coast

The rocky coast is only 800 m. away from our holiday park, and the nearest sandy beach is only 3 km. away.

La Grande Plage
The best-loved and most beautiful beach is no doubt the main beach in Sables d'Olonne: it has countless sun loungers and a lovely, 3.5 km-long promenade. Relax in the iodine-rich air and let yourself relax as you float on the soft waves of the sea.

Water sports fans are, of course, very welcome here, and they will have everything they need for surfing, gliding or sailing.

Afterwards, you can walk along the hilly streets behind the promenade towards the harbour and take a look at the large variety of shops.

Other beaches that are worth a visit
The beach at Sauveterre is hidden in the middle of the forest, and it has a surfing area. The Tanchet beach is a favourite with surfing and gliding fans, and it is close the huge bay of Sables d'Olonne.

You can have a very relaxing time on the beach at "La Paracou", which is quite close to La Chaume.

Naturist beach
If you would like to visit a naturist beach, you can find one between Sauveterre and Les Granges. This area of the beach is market off by notices, and you can reach it on foot through the forest, or via the beach.

Bassin Dombret
Among the rocks of the Côte Sauvage you will find the Bassin Dombret, which is a natural seawater swimming pool. It is separate from the sea itself and you can enjoy some fantastic swimming here.

Beach clubs
There are several beach clubs to offer your little ones plenty to keep them happy, even on quiet summer days at the beach. There are many different games and sports to choose from, and there is also a varied selection of entertainments.

Water sports

Whether you prefer sailing, surfing, diving, or boat trips – our region has a wide and varied range of water sports. We have already introduced you to the relevant beaches in the sections above.

Other leisure activities

You can visit the marina at "Quai Garnier" or at "Port Olona" and admire the many sailing boats and small craft that are moored there. The Quai Garnier is in the centre of les Sables d'Olonne, and the Port Olana is on the Vendée coast.

Wander through the interesting town centre and try out the region’s gourmet specialities.

Walking & cycling
There are plenty of attractions to be discovered along the many walking and cycling paths, and they are all well signposted. The salt pans at L'lle d'Olonne are worth a visit.

The Vélodyssée, or Atlantic cycle path, is more than 1,400 km long und stretches from the south west of England all the way to the south west of France.  It will take you through fantastic countryside and also through attractive villages and towns.
